Getting CRUSHED by your PCs in combat? At the start of a campaign or as a beginner it can feel like throwing a difficult monster at your party will immediately result in a TPK, but often it’s the other way around. I’ve found that if you start an encounter with a handicapped monster your players are going to cleave through it before you get off 2 rounds.
