St Kilda defeated Collingwood in the 2nd Elimination final 30 years ago today, Saturday the 5th of September 1992. Unfortunately for the Magpies the then final 6 didn’t go in their favour, throwing them out of the race even though they finished with 16 wins with a 3rd place on the ladder. The AFL used a modified version of the McIntyre Final Six, after criticism of the original Final Six system.
