Nintendo 3DS Cartridges have a known issue of their flash memory degrading if not used often enough. This is especially an issue in certain games like Persona Q and Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. To prevent this issue from occurring it's important to play your Nintendo 3DS games every so often.
