The protest was also in memory of Renee Nicole Good, the Minneapolis woman who lost her life in Minneapolis after being shot in her vehicle by an ICE enforcement officer. Protesters heard several speakers on the city hall steps and than a march was conducted around the Bartholomew Courthouse.

Columbus police were called to a local hotel on reports of a noise complaint. Social media videos, a hotel employee confirmed protesters were outside.

ICE has long had a presence in central Ohio, but actions this week in Columbus prompted responses from the community and leaders.

Syracuse is joining countless cities across the country, holding an anti-ICE rally this week. The sound of honking horns filled the air around Columbus Circle Monday afternoon, as hundreds of people gathered to voice their anger about the actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers.

Around 30 students walked out of Dublin Scioto High School Tuesday morning to protest recent immigration arrests, including one arrest near the school.

Protesters gathered at the Ohio Statehouse Sunday, calling on the U.S. to end what they describe as a dangerous escalation overseas. The demonstration comes one day after President Donald Trump announced the capture of Venezuela’s president.
